Well a lot has changed with the band. Greg moved, and Wesley got a 2nd job and quit, but now Wesley quit that job and wants back in. We have a new lead guitarist, Mark, who is awesome. Mark plays 34 instruments. Mark goes by the nickname of Hair since his hair goes down to his ankles. He has been giving me bass lessions (Mark just got a computer so I'm teaching him the fine art of puting in return). Everyone in the band is saying I'm getting way better so it must be working. I even heard 3rd hand that Chip (the drummer) said "Michael is actually getting some rythum". Now that's scary, a bass player with rythum. I never said I wasn't scary :p Oh we desided to call the band "Fetish". Guess thats bye-bye to Transient Whore.

January 14th, 2000

Well the band was named Strangly Cultured Youth, but the other members want to change it.... I never get let in on these important decisions till after they make up their mind, I'm just a lowly bass player. Hell they informed me the other day we were changing to a techno-rap style (from Alternative Metal). Until they figure out the new name I'm referring to the band as Transient Whore, I figure that ought to help speed up the renaming process. That's why the name is on the concept cover below. It's pretty rough, and I look quite purple, similar to how Wesley (rhythum guitar) looks. We took pictures the other day but they didn't look right. Some day we'll get the pics and have a name. The Lead Guitarist, Greg, is moving out of state so he's soon to be out of the picture :( He's an awesome guitarist. Todd did the cover except for the text which I did. The latest version of the cover looks a lot better that what is here. It still has a long ways to go.

You can download 3 of our old songs at mp3.com. We sound a lot different now, we have a lot more energy and crunch. With Greg leaving the band we'll probably wind up even heavier yet, Wesley used to play in a speed/death metal band. Note that neither Wesley or myself play on these mp3's. We were scheduled to go into a recording studio twice but problems poped up (like being canceled, drummer temporarily quitting, etc) so we never got around to laying down any more songs.
